21-Day Challenge
The 21-Day Challenge helps you start a habit, good or bad. Let’s hope you choose to start a good habit.
I decided to form a good habit and get my life in order. I wanted to be diligent in my daily routine, but I wasn't sure how to achieve that. One day, I came across an article by Gloria Copeland. She suggested spending an hour with God early in the morning to get a positive start to the day. Initially, it was difficult, as my body struggled to adjust to the new routine. However, I persevered, and eventually, my mind and spirit won over.
Over time, I learned to be consistent, bringing along my journal and making notes on any thoughts that came to mind. I also prayed in tongues, which strengthened my connection to God. I meditated on scriptures and memorized them, which made it easy for me to quote them and gain new revelation. As I studied the word, I found it easier to hear from the Lord. He even spoke to me in a dream and told me that I was getting promoted to Sergeant First Class.
Many years later, he told me when to retire from the military. I heard him say, “Retire, you have trusted on the first and the fifteenth all these years, now trust me”. While on the treadmill one morning, I heard the Lord say, “Put this on Facebook.” I was not a social media person. So, I was procrastinating, but my daughter encouraged me (years earlier), and now this was confirmation to me, and I got busy getting the equipment, doing research, updating my certifications, and fast forward, here I am writing a blog. One of the items on my list, in 1994, was writing articles for a magazine. Blogging was not a thing back then.
Years later, I read a book by Terry Sevelle called, "5 Things Successful People Do Before 8 AM." To my surprise, I was already implementing all of these habits consistently.
Her suggestion was to get up early, to spend time with God, to meditate. Write down and read over your goals and start to exercise. Surprisingly, I was doing all of those things, but felt like things had slowed down in some areas. Therefore, I decided to get back to being diligent and on purpose with my habit. This is when I challenged myself and invited others to start a good habit by taking the 21-Day Challenge. Especially with your fitness goals.
