    Mind

But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you.

This book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success.

Stages of Menopause

Midlife Fitness for Women Workshop

Did you know that Menopause affects many women in different ways? There are many symptoms that come with menopause. It doesn’t makes a difference that you are healthy and eat healthy, in terms of how the symptoms affect you.

What is menopause? Bottom line up front, it is when your menstruation cycles permanently stop for about a year; you don’t really know for sure until then. It is important to know your body.

I just finished a course, Midlife Fitness for Women Workshop, online through the Aerobics Fitness Association of America, AFAA. The study described the stages of menopause as Pre-menopause, Peri-menopause, Menopause, Early or Induced menopause, and Post-menopause. Thank goodness I didn’t have all the symptoms most women have, but I did have my share.

Recognizing these changes when it comes to fitness and staying active helps promote a better fuller lifestyle change as you age.   Allowing you ways to combat some of the symptoms through exercise, minimizes the effects of bloating, hot flashes, or depression. It is good to let your personal trainer know how you are feeling and they can better manage your fitness program.

Plant Based Eating

NASM, CNC Deep Dive into Plant Based Diets

Which plant-based diet do you follow? Pescatarian, Lacto-ovo-vegetarian, Vegan or a Raw vegan?

Remember before you start any diet program you need to find a structure that works for you. It is important to know how many nutrients you are receiving on a daily basis. Are you getting enough vitamin B12, vitamin C, A, and vitamin E? It is important to know what works for your body. It has to be a lifestyle that can help you maintain and sustain a healthy body, as it helps control high blood pressure, low blood pressure, and your body weight.

So many benefits can be received by eating properly; whichever diet you choose, from one end of the spectrum to the opposite end, is up to you. Talk about some of your desired goals and outcomes with your nutritionist or personal trainer, so that they can help you map out a plan that works for you, and adapt as you learn more about how your body responds to those dietary changes.
